Grade I Winner Richter Scale To Chad White Farm In Louisiana

MIDWAY, KY - Nathan Fox, president of Richland Hills Farm, announced today that stallion and Grade 1 winner Richter Scale has been moved to Chad White Farm in Benton, Louisiana. The 14-year-old son of Habitony-Devine Pet, by Bel Bolide will stand for a fee of $2,500 live foal guaranteed, payable when the foal stands and nurses.

Richland Hills and Richard Kaster will retain ownership of Richter Scale on a lease arrangement with Chad White, who will support the stallion with 20-25 of his own mares.

"This is a good fit for a proven stallion like Richter Scale," said Fox. "This horse has been very good to us, and we know he will have a chance for further success as a part of the lucrative Louisiana-bred program."

"We welcome Richter Scale to Louisiana," said farm owner Chad White. "He has settled in well and we look forward to offering him to Louisiana breeders as well as sending many of our own mares to him."

Richter Scale won 12 of 25 starts, including 10 stakes, and $1,139,958 in a career where he achieved victories in the Jerome Handicap(G2), Derby Trial(G3), True North Handicap(G2), Maryland Breeders' Handicap(G3), Fall Highweight Handicap(G2), Phoenix Breeders' Cup, Commonwealth Breeders' Cup(G2), Gulfstream Park Sprint Championship(G2) and his crowning achievement, a win in the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash(G1) in 2000.

Richter Scale has spent his stallion career at Richland Hills, where he has sired stakes winners Quite a Ruckus and Rich Fantasy.
