Nathan Fox and his wife Shelley are the owners and operators of Richland Hills. Their success as big time breeders in famous Kentucky horse country is a fascinating story.
It begins with the Texas natives moving to the farm in Versailles in 1985 and purchasing the historic Wafare Farm in 1991. In 2005, the Fox' changed the name to Richland Hills upon completion of several new barns and buildings on the property.
When they arrived in Kentucky more than 20 years ago, it didn't take them long to learn the ropes. The first stallion that they purchased and syndicated was Dynaformer, a horse that propelled Richland Hills into the national forefront as a breeding operation.
