Richland Hills is located along Old Frankfort Pike in the heart of the best bluegrass horse land in the country. It is bordered by Three Chimneys, Shadowlawn and Waterford Farms, all well known for raising champion racehorses. We are a full service operation standing stallions as well as providing mare care and sales prep for our clients. The management team are all experienced and intelligent horse men and women that love what they do and maintain an attention to detail when it comes to caring for the animals under their care.

Since moving to our present location, we have raised and had under our care over 70 stakes horses. A number of top mares are or were boarded at Richland Hills such as the dams of PERFECT DRIFT [G1], STARRER [G1], McDYNAMO [G1], BLUMIN AFFAIR [G3] (3rd Kentucky Derby), DURING [G2], SUPER RED [G2] and FLYING GLITTER [G3] to name only a few.

Our current board rate for a mare, weanling or yearling is $28 per day plus an additional $2 per day for a foal at a mare’s side. Additional charges include farrier and foaling fees and rates are increased for sales prep to $35 per day. Our veterinarian bills our clients directly. For the level of care and attention that the horses receive, our rates are very reasonable and far below the rates charged by many of our neighbors .

My family and I live on the farm as do several of my employees, insuring that someone is always available to deal with any emergency that may arise. I often represent my clients at public auctions for buying and selling their stock, and assist in a number of decisions concerning their horses including matings and locating stallion seasons at the best price available.
